Henry Richard born 1816 Abergwili the son of David Richard and Rachel William married Anne Thomas of Llanegwad 16th April 1838. at Llanegwad Parish Church.

The 1841 Census records the family at "Bank Monachty" Henry and his wife Anne, with daughter Hannah aged 2.. Her baptism is not in the Llanegwad church records. In the 1851 Census the family has moved into "Ffynondawel" and the surname has the letter 's' added to it. The dwelling is stated as being occupied by Anne's parents in the 1841 census. They now have 3 more children children Rachel 8 David 5 and John 2. By 1861 they now have William aged 9 Elizabeth 6 months, Hannah is un-married aged 22 and Anne's mother Elizabeth Thomas aged 73 a widow, is also living with them.

The birth of their son David was recorded by the register Office on the 6th November 1845 as David Richards this change from Richard to Richards has remained ever since.

On the 1st August 1864 David Richards bachelor (full age), servant, living at Ffynondawel marries Sarah Lloyd, spinster (full age), servant, living in Pantygog cottages, at Llanegwad parish Church Witnesses are the fathers Henry Richard of Llanegwad and Thomas Lloyd of Llandyssil.

David became a Deacon of Siloam Chapel Killay Glamorganshire circa 1900-1907
