From 1819 Jenkin David took over tenancy of Tyn Y Fforest (Margam Estate records) from John Bowen, Jenkin's wife died 1835,
by 1841 he was in Melingriffith. Tyn Y Fforest was originally occupied by David Herbert son of William Herbert. Margaret Thomas
took over occupancy of several properties at the death of Mary Herbert widow of William. William Thomas Herbert is shown in an indenture
to occupy Dyffryn Mill for 3 lifetimes for Himself and sons Thomas Herbert and William Herbert, from the Margam Estate 1759.
